Oh yes, Akbar's is great (if that's the one opposite the cinema/leisure complex on the road out to Kirkstall abbey?) Oh happy Yorkshire days, when I was missing many mates but at least could stuff myself with muchos curry....

BTW, I'm a Star of Asia fan, partly cos their food is yummy, but also for the proprieter Hass and his turban with comedy elastic to hold it on (and his penchant for giving regulars free beer and flaming sambukkas)

I think your thinking of Azram's, which is also a good curry house.

Akbars is in the heart of town and fairly new (opposite Shabab's if that helps pin point it). They do the most monsterous Nans which they bring out and impale on a metal stand......
