I am faintly aware that the title is a Kia-Ora advert-slogan (keris would never forgive me if I'd missed that) but I've never seen the advert... I mostly know the phrase "too orangey for crows" as the the lyric which follows "Iain. M. Banks" in The Booklovers, by The Divine Comedy.
You're thinking of a TV add for Guinness, from the late '70s (I think). Man in park stops at wooden kiosk and asks for bottle of Guiness and bucket of water. Vendor explains that the Guiness is now kept in the fridge, so the water is not necessary. Man replies that in that case he'll just have the water, for Sam (large Dulux icon / English Sheepdog, who "don't like Guinness."
Nah, "It's just for me and my dog" is definitely from the Kia-Ora advert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LvLn9PWln8)! Trust keris, she's an expert on Kia-Ora.
