Walking With Cats

Having not lived at home for nearly nine years now, I've more or less forgotten what living with cats is like.

Irrelevantly: anyone know where my mother has hidden the turmeric ?

Update: Many thanks for the help with this... just to set your minds at rest, it was eventually located at the back of the shelf, in a box rather than a jar, which had slipped over sideways and hid itself behind the taller jars. Thus lanfykins was more or less correct, since one cupboard contains all the herbs and spices. condign should practise his pyschic skills a little more, since he directed me to the tea-towel rail.

The cat seems to be fine now, too.
