Another lyrics question
Oct. 26th, 2004 02:06 pm... though this is one of those where I misquote a lyric, provide misleading information about it, and then expect someone to help me out with what it is. I don't know the answer. I want to know, that's why I'm asking.
Somewhere, buried on an unlabelled tape which I think I might have filched from an ex, is a punkish sort of song, sung by blokes, whose chorus goes roughly:
Livin' in a bedsit,
Travellin' on a tube train.
Workin' all day long,
And you don't go out,
And you eat out of tins,
...
Because you're living in
Solitary confinement
Why am I so lonely?
Answers on the back of a sealed-down LJ comment, please.
Later, I may post my thoughts on wallpaper in northern pubs.

Date: 2004-10-26 06:19 am (UTC)If anyone can help me out with a song that goes something along the lines of
Now people say I'm nasty
They say I have my moods
But I think I'm fantastic
Cos I'm so fuckin' rude
I was upstairs in the bedroom
Tryin' on my new brown cords
When a man came knockin' on the door
He was from the electricity board
Now I thought about letting him inside
But I wasn't moving fast
We'd only been there half an hour
When he pushed his way right past
I said Fuck off! Who do you think you are!
Get out of my fucking flat!
What do you mean you want to read the meter
Don't talk to me like that
I would be very* grateful.
*I mean, I might buy you a drink or something. If I remember.
