This is a monthly bookkeeping post, keeping up with my new year's resolutions.

I think I heard a shot
Jan. 18th, 2011 02:38 pmSo. About this new year resolution idea. I used always to make a "resolutions" post on here, commenting on my plans for the coming year and the success of the previous year... but 2009's rather ambitious resolutions failed in the face of reality, trying to buy a house, etc and I didn't bother for 2010.
And then people kept linking to posts about how making resolutions was a rubbish idea anyway, and I wondered whether to bother. I compromised with ( some small resolutions )
( They have vaguely terrifying results )

Twelve reasons why...
Jan. 5th, 2009 10:23 amRight... so... this New Year Skills plan. I've done the easy part (making the list), and it's just dawned on me that if I'm aiming for one-a-month then I should already be doing one. Because it is, like, the first month of the new year.
However, first we should ( get last year's bookkeeping out the way ).
And so onto the next year, in which I shall attempt to acquire the following ( skills )

Come January, I shall be making my usual bookkeeping post in which I witter tediously about the extent to which I've kept the previous year's resolutions. However, I have a new plan for making resolutions this year... and I need a bit of assistance.
( New Year Skills )
Does anyone else fancy this for the new year ? If so, shout up and we can get compiling a list from which any takers can select their twelve life skills.

OK, OK, I've thoroughly missed the bus on this one. I made new year's resolutions, on new year's day and everything, but never got round to doing my annual bookkeeping post. Resolutions are now so passé that you're welcome to pass over all together.

All is quiet on New Year's Day
Jan. 16th, 2007 10:57 pmHmm. So, I thought that maybe it'd be a good idea to try and develop the habit of not faffing about online before I go to bed. Accordingly, I have barely been online this year from home. Which is why it's half way through January before I get round to fixing my new year's resolutions...
It is thus time for my annual outburst of not-terribly-interesting reading in which I do my bookkeeping. If I don't make this the first post of the year I'll never find it again.
