Additional

Added as a new entry, since apparently you can't add futher polls after the fact to journal entries.

Update: Eeek, it's worse than I thought. Lucy retired last year, and was replaced by Sadie (one black lab looks very much like another to me, I hadn't noticed).

[Poll #291714]

Sadie's just another illegally employed, illegal immigrant, being taken advantage of by Blunkett, like Lucy before her.

Don't believe all that retiring to Greater Manchester nonsense. That means 'detained in a holding cell in Greater Manchester' before being deported back to Labrador!

Blimey. I thought retiring to Greater Manchester sounded like a severe enough fate as it was.

I have heard that they're all controlled by a mysterious force known only as "The Dog". Worry...

mysterious force known only as "The Dog"

Well, we all knew Maggie wasn't just going to go quietly, didn't we?

I think what Blunkett does is open law texts at random, find a principle of law to abolish - for example, double jeopardy - and then read it to the dog, who will give one bark for yes and two barks for no.

That dog is responsible for all the dreadful legislation he is trying to introduce. And I think it voted Tory at the last election.

I wonder if George Bush has a dog - one bark for 'go to war' two barks for 'no no don't.' But then can Bush count beyond one.

Very close. It's actually one bark for 'go to war', two barks for 'don't choke on that pretzel, you dumb schmuck' and three barks for 'don't go to war'.

You're right that he can't count beyond one bark though.

Nah, Bush did think it barked twice, saying that he shouldn't go to war, but Cheeney corrected him that it had just been repeating itself because the case for war was so clear.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] chron_job, if you're reading:

If you even think about bringing us some American politicans over to convince us they aren't as bad as we believe, I won't be answerable for the consequences.

It might have worked with chocolate and coffee, but don't push your luck :)
