And you're always busy, really busy
Jan. 19th, 2004 10:40 pmWell, today since I got in from work I have:
And I was going to do some Pilates exercises, but frankly, I think I'm going to say "sod it", finish my beer, and go to bed. Is that OK ?
- Bought and fitted William with a new set of HT leads; hopefully this will solve the problem of the engine dying easily when cold. And if that particular bloke in Holloway Auto patronises me one more time, I'll poke him in the eye with a torque wrench.
- Changed the landing lightbulb. On account of the stepladder required, and the ludicrously awkward lightfitting, this a rather more hardcore undertaking than you'd expect.
- Made and eaten vegetable fajitas. Which would have been much nicer if Tesco hadn't sold me ComedyTortillaLaminate - looks just a normal packet of 8 tortillas, until you try to separate them. I suspect a Mexican would frown at the inclusion of leeks in fajitas, but what do they know.
- Indulged in a mad bout of cleaning: all downstairs floors hoovered, random icky things scrubbed, bins emptied, etc. And the nasty rusty cack cleaned out of my wok, will be killing whoever left it like that later.
- Sorted out Andy's problem du jour, i.e. posted the silly bugger the very important thing he left here at the weekend. Also wrote a letter of my own, and posted a bunch more lurking in my bag, remembering that the pillar box on Donny Bridge Road is a fake: letters put into it are never seen again.
- Put some washing on.
And I was going to do some Pilates exercises, but frankly, I think I'm going to say "sod it", finish my beer, and go to bed. Is that OK ?
