OK, this is an even longer shot than last time...

Yup, something else I can't quite pin down is stuck in my head.

This time, all you're getting to go on is that the line ends "...Victoria, Victoria.". It's quite fast, and it's a bloke singing. I don't think it's the Kinks' song. In fact, I'm wondering if it might be filed in my head in the same section as "obscure New Zealand stuff" - but it isn't Victoria by The Exponents either.

No, I don't expect anyone will get it from that description. Still, one can but try.

Update: Gotcha!
Once again, I throw everyone off by getting a key fact wrong. In this case, it wasn't a bloke singing :( Nor was it from NZ, though it's hardly scure:

Avoid the cliches of the time
Towing the standard lover's line
We drag around a ball and chain
Morals of old victoria, victoria

- Surplus, by Psychophile.

Y'know, I can't help thinking they mean "toeing" there :)

Also, I want to know where this excessive use of the phrase "That is all." originates from. Come on, [livejournal.com profile] mr_tom, you're one of the worst culprits. Tell!

No idea about the song.

"That is all" instinctively made me think of "Your Christian names are still an insuperable barrier, that is all!" (ie, Gwendolyn and Cecily, "Importance of Being Earnest"). When I use it that's where it comes from, but I'm not one of the people you're referring to so I really have no idea about that either!
