Well, I've now seen Pirates of the Carribean, too. wimble and I pottered there this evening. It's probably never going to be great cinema, but it is fun.

Yes, I noticed that too! But did you notice how much of Hunter S. Thompson went into Jack Sparrow? I'd never thought about how much a sun-mad pirate would have in common with a drug-addled writer, but it makes perfect sense.
