And every time I try to go online, my 'puter non-negotiably shuts itself down because "a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly".

I'm running Windows XP - does anyone have any ideas ?

(This was written in the 60 secs it gives me to close everything...)

Interestingly this was right next to a very similar in my friends list by a friends: http://www.livejournal.com/users/pure_simon/127790.html

Apparently his gives him that message and then reboots after 60 seconds. My first thought was misregistered XP and MS doing evil things to you cos it thought you were a pirate. I may be wrong though.
