Busy weekend. Busy weekend that was far too bloody hot. It contained visiting parents, and included, but was not limited to:

Nice food at the Oxford Thai.

My parents bringing me an early birthday present of a lovely wooden recorder.

A wander up the towpath on Saturday morning. This was before it got monstrously hot, and we got to stop and watch brilliant blue dragonflies flitting about. And we got pies in the pub: the Isis Tavern's food is usually nowt special, but their raised pies are worth wandering up for.

A trip to Pendon - the most amazingly detailed model making I've ever seen. And run by a hugely enthusiastic bunch of amateurs. If it's at all the kind of thing you like, give it a go, it's great.

Nice food at Kasbah.

A Holly Golightly gig at the Buillingdon... which was everything a small gig should be. Right down to the deliberately extroverted indie kids packing the dance floor.

A mediterranean food fair in the Botanical gardens. Sitting under a shady tree muching feta and olives and bean salan and... Mmm. Food.

A boat trip up the river... I'm sure it was nice, but I was just too warm and went to sleep for large sections.

A monumentally fantastic concert by Charivari Agréable, playing music from their CD The Queen's Goodnight in Exeter Chapel. This ensemble are hanging about Exeter all summer - if you like your music polyphonic, get yourself down there.

And lots of beer.

I dunno either.
I notice you don't query the two or three Dumps on the program :)
