Intrusion was great - nice to see so many people, and I even won a raffle prize of a bottle or wine. Which got drunk... though, believe it or not, I had trouble giving wine away. What are the goths of today coming to ? It was even nice wine, too - probably because [livejournal.com profile] deeteeuk (raffle prize buyer and (apparently) excellent compère) is a red wine drinker.

However: the lovely comfortable leather collar I bought last year to do duty as a neck-brace when I still needed one is not ideal for dancing in :( It's good in some ways - it stops me doing things with my neck that will hurt tomorrow - but it also seems to have left bruises under my chin :( So, Vengeance came on, and on the dance floor there were 4 or 5 big stompy blokes in big stompy boots, and me in a short dress and posture collar. I've not felt so daft on a dance-floor in ages...

Hadn't realised the club was running til 2 this evening. Then I walked home. Then I got to help Andy put some more furniture in the attic. And I'm not sleepy. This spells bad news for tomorrow morning. My turn to drive to work, too...

Update: Made it to work in one piece after all.

Oh, and I forgot last night: it seems [livejournal.com profile] kissifa has taken it upon herself to be certain aspects of people's personalities which were previously held to be absent. She's someone's dignity, someone else's temperance, and the viriginity of several people. She's now formally representing my grace, so with luck I'll no longer be clumsy while [livejournal.com profile] kissifa's around.

Speaking as one of the "big stompy blokes" (assuming you mean "big stomps" rather than especially "big blokes" - or back to the gym for me) I thought you handled yourself with grace and decorum ;-)

I did wonder about the posture collar mind - didn't look terribly comfortable and a damn site more "substantial" than some of the other lightweight-lifespan-about-20-minutes variants around.

Oh - and hello. I discovered you via [livejournal.com profile] deeteeuk's journal...

Why thank you :)

(Of course, you're one up on me now, as I don't know who you are...)

The collar is actually very comfortable - I'm not dedicated enough to wear clothes/jewellry/etc that hurts. However, you'd almost think it wasn't designed for moshing in...

Long hair, glasses, white "Big black wooly jumper" t-shirt; hanging around with the 6'+ giant pussy cat ([livejournal.com profile] fishthecat).

He always gets all the attention when we're out :-P

Oh aye. It's a great t-shirt; made me smile, anyway.

Major Moggy was hard to miss though - how on earth does he cope in a baking-hot club under all that fur?

Next month I've promised myself I'll make a bit more of an effort.

He's an odd lad. I think the short answer is he gets very hot, but being a semi-pro Furry (and having made it into some newspaper even) he puts his appearance over his comfort. We got a few looks walking to and from the car park mind.
