Yay! Many moons ago, I discovered the excitement that is Postman's Park and its lovely memorial to London's everyman heroes.

ChrisC just sent me a link to someone's blog which suggests that a brand new plaque has been added; it's the first in seventy years.

On the whole I'd rather live in a world where people didn't drown in canals, but should they do so while attempting to save another I think the least they deserve is a nicely-painted plaque.

And how good that they've gone for the "period" plaque and not tried to update something as design-perfect as Poatman's Park
