I'm in Whitby, for the folk festival. I'm walking home from a ceilidh, and an accidental concert which sucked me in as I walked past. I hear, in the distance, the wooo-wooo of "Elizabeth", Whitby's steam bus[*].

And the first thing I think is "... it's the Mushroom Crab Man".

battyblingtrash, you have a lot to answer for.

[*] No, I have no idea what it was doing whistling at one thirty in the morning. Maybe I imagined it.

I didn't run into them :)

This disappoints me. One of the first WGWs I went to, our sysadmin at work said to me "say hello to Kate and Richard for me". I knew neither of them. The first thing I did on arriving on in Whitby was go to the Elsinore, and about the first person I bumped into was grahamb. I asked him if he knew Kate & Richard, and he pointed them out... making arrival time to passing on a message to an unknown couple about 15 minutes.

I idly asked my parents and a couple of friends if they knew a Dave-and-Ann, but with no useful results :)
