There's not much room in this mushroom

I'm in Whitby, for the folk festival. I'm walking home from a ceilidh, and an accidental concert which sucked me in as I walked past. I hear, in the distance, the wooo-wooo of "Elizabeth", Whitby's steam bus[*].

And the first thing I think is "... it's the Mushroom Crab Man".

[livejournal.com profile] battyblingtrash, you have a lot to answer for.

[*] No, I have no idea what it was doing whistling at one thirty in the morning. Maybe I imagined it.

Heh. If you run into my parents (Dave and Ann - both fairly short, he has grey hair and a beard, she has grey hair and doesn't, will likely be accompanied by my brother who looks exactly like my dad but about 30 years younger), do freak them out by saying hi from me, won't you?

I didn't run into them :)

This disappoints me. One of the first WGWs I went to, our sysadmin at work said to me "say hello to Kate and Richard for me". I knew neither of them. The first thing I did on arriving on in Whitby was go to the Elsinore, and about the first person I bumped into was [livejournal.com profile] grahamb. I asked him if he knew Kate & Richard, and he pointed them out... making arrival time to passing on a message to an unknown couple about 15 minutes.

I idly asked my parents and a couple of friends if they knew a Dave-and-Ann, but with no useful results :)
