Right. I'm about to head off to Glastonbury. I have, in accordance with all accepted principles of leaving ones car in large car parks, emptied my car of everything. Accordingly there is nothing in The Box. Nothing at all (except some sugar, from a bag of boiled sweets which fell over months ago).

Emptying the car means that things I regard as essential travelling companions - say, jump leads, a socket set, spare builbs, WD40 - are sitting on the front room floor. Anyone place folding money on me breaking down over the weekend ?

Just in case anyone misses hearing What's In The Box on Friday, I thought I'd share this with you instead. I heard it on Radio 1 on Monday night and got quite excited about it.

Fleet Foxes - White Winter Hymnal (on youtube)

Quite an unusual sound for a Seattle rock band.

Errr....Basic too stuff is probably not that nickable and worth leaving in the boot....maybe in the spare wheel well.

Glastonbury....enjoy the mud.

I'm just pondering German fun - Probably cheaper, cleaner and better =;-PPP

It's not really a case of whether it's nickable or not, more being able to leave everything visible empty to discourage anyone from investigating. No idea if it's useful, but seems to be what various sources recommend. I did leave the spare wheel (and jack and wheel brace) in!

Having seen your cost assessment, I'm not sure!

cleaner

Very probably!

and better

Never :)

Ah....Your going to remove the rear parcel shelf then, so yes, being clear makes sense

Costwise i'm hoteling and your camping...I think camping is an extra 12 euro's or something, but minus £120ish, so blackfields could be done for £140ish !!

You like Glastonbury, is that for the atmosphere or the bands....Can't say i've been...maybe one day !

Both, really. There's such a huge variety of bands that it'd be hard to find something not to like. But the readon I prefer Glastonbury to other festivals is the prodigious amount of Stuff there is to see - comedy, cabaret, theatre, millions of tiny stages, performance artists all over the place, gardens, art, things to join in with... I could have a great weekend there and never go near the main stages. It's quite unlike any other festival I've ever been to.
