I still hate Eclipse.

Are there any more takers for December fun and frolics in the Great Advent Game ?

In the meantime, here is a almost-pointless poll.

These questions are not intended to be linked in any way. They're merely things I want to know about.

These questions are not intended to be linked in any way

But they clearly are: both are about "How do you dispose of your evidence?"

Put my arms through the straps, do the clip up behind me
But, but, how do you DO that without dislocating your shoulders?

You mean you can't reach the clip of your bra when it's on ? How do you undo it ?

From: [identity profile] snow-leopard.livejournal.com
I can just reach it and can undo it, but can't imagine how I'd FASTEN it!

Hmm. Maybe some people's shoulders are just built differently. I can reach easily (and could reach considerably higher if required).

I have to say I've always been baffled by people who do the clip up at the front - seems like a terrible faff. I suppose it makes sense if they genuinely can't reach, though!

I can reach with one hand to unclip it, but reaching around with two hands to fasten it up would be very uncomfortable.

UN do it same as doing- sleeves off, shoulders down, spin it to the frount and undo...or ask a partner?! Cant reach at all..makes me worry about hostage situations involving being bound- i know i wouldnt be able to wiggle out.

My bras generally have the double fastener, with 3 options for how tight you want it. Getting the right one behind my back is tricky, especially when only half awake and half caffeinated!

I can only reach that high with my left arm at the moment - it's the one bit of mobility I've yet to regain after breaking my collar bone. Not that I habitually wear a standard, strappy, back-fastening bra..

Obviously our non-recyclable rubbish bins aren't really going to help if you wanted to know about England. Or the UK. Also the recyclable container bins are yellow, and the rest are big green bank bins in the street.

triskellian: (purple and shiny)

My household has apparently been found by my city council to be unsuitable for the use of a wheelie bin; they have therefore provided us instead with purple bin bags, and a theoretical restriction on the number of same they are willing to collect each fortnight. Since I can't properly remember the permitted number, I'm not certain whether they're sticking to this, but they have faithfully removed all bagged rubbish, regardless of number of bags, and even when we forget to enclose it in a purple bag.

You sure you didn't fill in some form somewhere saying you were unsuitable for a wheelie bin just to get yourself some purple bin bags ?

unsuitable for the use of a wheelie bin

Can't be trusted not to joy-ride in it?

When I say green, it's not a #009900 sort of green, more sort of #666600 sort of green. We also have a grey bin for recycling and a brown bin for garden waste.

Heh! I had to ask Dr. Mitch what colour our bin was. Guess that maekes me the lazy b boss in this house!

Yes, thank you, I did - receiving daily updates from the mother.

Me too. I think we did one another a favour by being poorly at the same time - deflection-wise that would be.

Wheelie funny

Thank you for reminding me of your "where's your wheelie bin" joke, which makes me grin every time I remember it. :-D

Seeing as you seem so interested:

I answered black, but I do occasionally see green and grey wheelie bins in Newbury [possibly imported from other councils] and they're all for non-recyclable rubbish. For recyclable stuff we have plastic baskets and we have to sort the stuff we put in them.

Torbay issues a green and a black wheelie bin and collects recyclable and non-recyclable on alternate weeks.

A while ago a conversation arose in the pub about unfastening women's bras. One of the bar maids claimed no man ever managed to undo hers without a struggle. Various attempts were made by men stood behind her using both hands etc before I joined in.
Its obvious, I stood face to face and toe to toe and put one arm around her back and flicked it open with two fingers. Why is this so difficult for others?
I havent practiced that much, honest.!

Bras ruined by messed up attempts at fastening go, at the request of our council (which doesn't provide wheelie bins of any colour but demands black polybags, put out no earlier than the night before collection on pain of fine and being named in monthly council rag)as textile recycling in supermarket polybags in the green box supplied for glass, cans and PET bottles.

The survey answer is for Reading; where I am at the moment non-recyclables have to go in special city-approved clear plastic binbags, separated into burnable and non-burnable rubbish.
