I can hear usual morning noises. Wood pigeons, the faint rumble of traffic, the neighbours pottering about.

But... someone who lives nearby seems to have acquired a cockerel. That's a new and peculiarly strident addition.

Ah, we have two opposite. The good news is that after two years I stopped hearing them, to the point where I decided they'd died.

Only recently did I notice that they're still alive, but I no longer get woken up (or even disturbed) by the them.
