Dec. 1st, 2006 08:50 amMorning all. White rabbits.
However, never mind rabbits, today is much more exciting, as it's the day Advent calendars kick off. Everyone who played The Great Advent Game this year (with the exception of our German outpost, whom the post has thus far failed) should now be in possession of some sort of spangly home made means of counting up to 24.
My calendar flolloped through the letter box in good time at the beginning of the week. I have to admit, I've never thought of
dmh as the type liable to faff around with glue and cardboard for fun, but he's rather surpassed himself.
In the large envelope, I found a glittery, stocking-shaped calendar:

In addition, there was a small pile of chocolates in the bottom of the envelope. Ooh, I wondered, maybe there's one for each day. Indeed there were... each one numbered, and with a Christmassy picture:

I'm chomping on today's as I type.

They're really rather lovely. And our house is only slightly covered in loose glitter ;)
Thanks a huge amount to DMH for such a marvellous calendar, and thanks to everyone else who joined in and made calendars and posted them round the world.
Now, what's everyone else got ? Come on, I wanna know!
Coming soon, The Great Advert Game for
ach, whose reading isn't so good.
