Morning, all. It's the first of December today, and so it's time to start opening Advent calendars.
Those who played the Great Advent Game should now be in possession of calendars. As of last night, I was aware that the postal service had let both
cuthbertcross and
killalla down - calendars are in transit, but not received - is everyone else OK ?
[Update:
bateleur reports that an e-calendar has not yet manifested in their Inbox.]
A few days ago the post brought me an A4 envelope, copiously bedecked with "Do Not Bend" warnings. Looking at the postmark, I surmised that it was my calendar arriving from
thurisaz_art and didn't open it. Ripping into envelopes this morning has revealed a 24-door calendar featuring a sexy elf:

Which is lovely, and today's door has a rather chirpy dove flying skywards. Many thanks to thurisaz_art, who has obviously brought genuine artistic talent to bear (something I strenuously refrained from doing).
As I commented when posting addresses round, I'm reluctant to link people's real-names with LJ tags when I don't have their express consent, so to the best of my knowledge most people won't really know the person they've received their calendar from. If people want to describe their received calendar and see if anyone's willing to admit sending it, feel free to do so here. Anyone willing to post descriptions/pictures of their calendars for all to see is very much encouraged to do so - I'm all curiosity.
In the end, two e-calendars and eight snail-calendars were constructed. Thanks to everyone who joined in.
