The first thing I was aware of on waking up this morning was that I'd been dreaming about some very small sculptures, which were to be displayed on very small plinths. I think I was somehow involved in organisation at the gallery, or something. In my dream, I referred to these very small plinths as plinthlings[*].

I have just remembered this, and it has made my evening.

[*] And yes, for those of you who are going to ask, I was doing the relevant gesture in my dream. But in quite a small way, with fingertips only, because it was just a plinthling.

The last couple of times I've seen him, he has specifically commented that he's playing it in tribute to Kirsty MacColl, though. I think (though am unsure) that he stopped singing it for a while before she died, saying that it was her song now.
