So that's how they ensure staff loyalty...

I just popped to Tesco to buy some dinner. Sitting on the floor munching my sarnie (I was waiting for someone, rather than just being strange), I observed the eye-level-if-you're-sitting-on-the-floor stickers on each checkout.

Bright yellow, they read:

"Ensure thumbscrews are fully rotated"

and add that the checkout won't be operational unless this is the case.

Seems a bit harsh to me. Although if they were going to introduce the Iron Maiden for McDonalds staff, I'd be all in favour.

Thumbscrews!?

eye-level-if-you're-sitting-on-the-floor...

Which is precumably also eye-level-if-you're-a-small-kid, which I think is well out of order.

*wingnuts*

Sorry, not being able to remember the name for whatever they presumably /meant/ was really annoying me ;)

...I certainly will from now on.
If they claim not to understand, then I'll know they're just being oppressed.
