Anyone else want to play guess who posted the anonymous comments ? I fear I'm going to have to declare the Silly Game a dodo, owing to lack of interest :)

I looked when you unscreened them, but this game's just too difficult for me. No idea on any of them.

Thanks... however, people don't have to justify not joining in :)

Lack of interest was maybe the wrong phrase - I think it turns out that it's just not very effective as a fun game.

Similarly, I wouldn't have the first clue who posted any of those comments. Your game would probably work quite well with a small and clearly defined number of participants, so that everyone at least knew what list of names the comments might match up to. But I think the field in this case is just a little too large, and includes too many people who don't really know each other.

I was interested, but only know/am known to one person on your flist.

(Well, ok, [livejournal.com profile] zandev and I have mutual-friended, but we still don't know a great deal about each other :)

I could help make the game easier, by posting when logged in, if you like.

Bah, if you only you hadn't admitted it here, I could have posed the question "Who's the most likely to stuff it up by posting an 'anonymous' comment when logged in?" before unscreening it, and added a whole new dimension to the game :)

I didn't say people were likely to guess at it being you, now, did I ?

:)

A friend of mine, Dee, once lost her phone so asked people to send her a text.

She guessed wrongly which one was from me - purr, purr, miaow

At least the benefit of that is you gain some new phone numbers...

Well, this post has provoked a mild outburst of late entrants, so it wasn't entirely wasted :)

Still think the above commenters are correct, though, that the field's a little wide and contains too many people who don't know each other to make it as effective as it might be.

Bah ! That just made it more fun ! Who wants easy games ?

Incidentally, that's one of my favourite tracks ever. Good choice.
