As annoying as the Brixton Academy refusing free water to a dying woman are venues that prohibit bringing your own water. Not normally a problem until the summer, when I might be carrying a plastic bottle with me before a gig. The Proms start on Friday; I've stood sweltering through concerts on hot days, but I can't imagine the Royal Albert Hall searching the bags of classical concertgoers to confiscate a bottle of water.
