I assume you mean 'in what way does it manifest itself'; not sure I'm qualified to answer how it works :)
In the only family member I know with it, it's occasional prophetic dreams, but mostly "just knowing" stuff. The stuff in question ranges from knowing I was going to forget my wallet one time (damn, I wish she'd told me in advance!) to knowing a mutual friend had cancer.
I don't know much more really, as she's very reluctant to talk about it.
