Phone call from the police... apparently Andy's car has been found, in the non-burnt-out sense.
It's all locked up, so they haven't been able to assess whether it's drivable, or, more importantly, whether Andy's tools are still in the boot. It's in a car park, so the former looks hopeful - the latter would be something of a minor miracle.
As a side-issue, many thanks to everybody who expressed sympathy and concern during the week; it was much appreciated :)

Have to say that I was rather fearing the worst, so this is far less bad than it could have been.
