Can anyone else in the Rose Hill/Donnington Bridge area hear an intermittent (yet persistent) roar of, like, bike engines or something ? What's going on ?

I dunno. First you complain everyone's mumbling, then you hear phantom motorbikes.

Are you sure you don't need your ears looking at again?

I can't hear it, but I'm right at the other end of the area from you, so that doesn't necessarily help you ;-)

at about 7:15 I would drove along Donnington Bridge road in too low a gear, quite noisy...

they quite often have bike races in the stadium next to Nickey's place in BLeys - but i wouldn't have thoughtthey were loud enough to hear from that far away !
