Sadly, nobody else can do French grammar ! A quick Google search reveals 72900 hits for "fin de siecle" compared to 41500 for "fin du siecle". So it looks like the correct form is losing the battle.
But we can't blame the ignorance of the general public here. Apparently it's wrong in the dictionary !
