Bleat to the music...

Seen on lots of journals, but first on [livejournal.com profile] mrph's, I think.

Velouria - Pixies
Everybody Knows - Leonard Cohen
Nothing Came Out - Moldy Peaches
There's Gonna Be An Accident - Baader Meinhof
Atomic Beat Boy - Helen Love

At last I have worked out why 4 out of the 5 letters in your LJ name are also in my LJ name: it's because our music collections are 80% alike!

I'm curious: which one of them don't you do? Helen Love ?

[livejournal.com profile] onebyone tells me you're a Moldy Peaches fan. As all right-thinking people should be :)

Actually I have records by all 5 of them. I just don't have that particular Helen Love track.

The Moldy Peaches have the distinction of being one of the few bands that [livejournal.com profile] bluedevi told me to get out of the CD player at once or risk violent repercussions. But I kept working at her and now she really likes them. Next stop, Merzbow <cracks knuckles>

Sadly, I only own it on mp3. It's on Love and Glitter, Hot Days and Muzic and is on my to-buy list.

I'll definitely cross Steak for Chicken off the tracklisting for that tape that I am going to be making you Real Soon Now, then :)

Merzbow?

The ultimate in aural guerilla warfare, to be used only as a last resort, for instance against people whose response to Metal Machine Music is "ooh, this is Lou Reed, isn't it? I quite liked Transformer". Basically it's just a big wall of shrieking, crackling, hissing noise. I find it quite restful, like whalesong if whales were deranged mechanical insects instead.
