Travelling on the tube-train

Testing, testing...
Looks like LJ have released an Android app. It's... reasonable, as far as I can tell. Things I don't like:
- It's not obvious when long posts on my friends list are cropped.
- It's impossible (as far as I can tell) to work out if a friend's post is locked or not.
- It's a little slow to start up (probably caching posts, loading the mobile version of the site is equally slow)
- I am only now discovering that the text-editing is a bit annoying. For some reason I don't get auto-capitalisation after full stops, and it's quite hard to move the cursor around. I'd blame my phone, only other, similar apps don't have this problem.
I wonder how the auto-link thingy works. http://news.co.uk
oh, like that.
And can I add HTML tags manually?
I hopeI can. Manual link to news.
Still, it's probably going to make keeping up with LJ as easy as keeping up with G+ is. Think I'll still write posts from a proper 'puter, though.
Oh, and following an accidental back-button incident, it does save drafts properly!
Additional: client decidedly flaky without signal/wi-fi. Obviously I don't expect it to download posts then, but it'd be nice if the error pop-up didn't go all woogly and prevent interaction once we're back in internet land.
Additional additional: notifications only work for comments on your own posts, not replies to comments you've made elsewhere. If this is controlled by a setting, I can't find it. The navigation is quite awkward. If I click on the notification of a comment, I'd like to go to that comment, not the post it was made on (and then have to lead the comments separately).
