Aargh.

My apple is apple-flavour.

I don't mean it tastes like an apple. It tastes like something which is apple-flavoured. Like, I dunno, apple Nerds or something.

It's weird.

Must check the small print of Tesco's bags of value apples.

That's deeply worrying - apple flavoured things taste nothing like apples.

(In particular, they taste of malic acid. Despite the fact apples have it in they generally manage not to taste of it.)

I note the difference between "apple Nerds" and "Apple nerds". Yay capitalization.

Yay :)

I imagine apple nerds will just be disgusted that I was being generic value apples in the first place. I'm a little disgusted, to be honest, but last week didn't include time for a trip to the greengrocer.

Ah, yes, apple flavour. I shall add it to "orange flavour" = orange coloured things (as distinct from tasting of oranges) and "pink flavour" = tasting of pink coloured things.

Also "banana flavour" and "green flavour".

And, of course, "fruit flavour". Mmmm, esters!

Bananas must be the thing that taste least like their flavour!

(See also: cherries...)
