Wake me up when September ends

Of course, the trouble with waiting til mid-September to write up August, is that you're then suddenly having to write up September about ten minutes later.

I don't have a lot of interesting to report, I'm afraid.

I continue to do reasonably well at getting out of bed, but still have no real idea why this is happening. Shh. Don't look too closely, you might break it.

I have at least done some writing, and have sent a short story out into the world to seek its fortune.

It turns out that editors who have been sent short stories are not necessarily very good at replying.

I have got my library mojo working again, and made it through two books this month (and halfway through a third, and there is a fourth waiting). Reviews to follow.

I still need to step up the reading quite a bit if I'm to get through all the books before the end of the year, mind.
