Saturday, wait. Sunday always comes too late.

Things I want to achieve this weekend:

1. Get the rest of the burnt lentils off the cast-iron saucepan. Note to self: do not attempt to debug hastily-written linked-list code late at night while making soup. You will get distracted and forget about the soup.

2. Purchase material and a pattern to make a dress for a one-year-old. Does anyone have any good recommendations for places to purchase sewing patterns in London?

3. Get rid of this cold. Bored now.

I have already achieved my first objective for this weekend, which was ten hours' sleep!

(And, for the sake of getting in first, http://www.threadless.com/product/1589/Friday__I_m_In_Love)

Well done (and a kudo ;)

I appear to be having my latest cold in installments, although I don't recall signing up for a weekly plan. Two weekends ago was the bone-aching fatigue and shivers, last weekend was the sinus-y stuff, this weekend it's swollen glands, earache, and sore throat. Presumably next weekend the cough will arrive.

Interesting. And is it better having an HP cold in easy installments, or does the interest rate make it a poor choice compared to having it outright?

I'd rather get it all over and done with at once, I think. The compound interest is crippling.

I keep reading your last line and the tag below as "microcold". That would be a major breakthrough as far as I'm concerned - feel really really awful for ~20 mins, and then fine again!

Friday I'm in love!

We've managed a lie in, a shower for me, socialising, taxis and buses, and a bath for baby today, I think I feel like that's a whole weekends's worth of accomplishments right there!

Much sympathy on the soup! I burnt carrot in the microwave yesterday - turns out you do have to make sure it's in enough water while zapping it!

I'm afraid [livejournal.com profile] huskyteer beat you to the kudo, but your accomplishments sound pretty impressive :)

D'oh - my brain didn't read the URL so I didn't notice!

John Lewis is reasonable for patterns, although I don't remember if they do interesting indie ones rather than just the big names.

Yup, John Lewis was where I went - and found a pattern suitable for what I wanted. No fabric to go with it, yet, since apparently winter fabrics aren't in yet...

Being unclear as to whether I've got your email address right, if you're coming to the men that will not be blamed gig tomorrow, we're going to the Mucky Pup in N1 before and Nuisance afterwards, if you fancy it.

[identity profile] zenithed.livejournal.com 2013-10-03 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, plan is 5:45 Mucky Pup (near Angel), 8ish the Garage and then 10ish Nuisance. Not sure how late your trains go on til but would be good to have a jump around to Britpop.

I am most disappointed (in myself)... I've managed to double-book myself, having forgotten that the gig was tomorrow :( The other booking also involves giving someone else a lift, so difficult to pull out of. So no Men for me, and no jumping around either. Boo!
