Date: 2003-07-18 07:55 am (UTC)I did think of 2 1/2 to start with, then noticed your trousers match the trim on your building and I considered that a bit sad tbh.
And no, I don't. Most of the time.
I know. That's why my comment was actually an amusing reference to one of your previous LJ entries.
I would start on about how to react to obscure references but that's been done recently too .

Good lord, you don't read that drivel do you ?

Date: 2003-07-18 08:08 am (UTC)Well, kinda. I have this little flashing icon which doesn't go away until I click on it. When I click on it it pops all this stuff into my web browser.
Then my useless trivia brain kicks in. The less important the information the more I am to remember it.

Date: 2003-07-18 01:04 pm (UTC)I think I like it, but I'll wait to see it in person before I make a final decision.

I assume it will still be red in September ?

Date: 2003-07-18 04:48 pm (UTC)I look forward to seeing it, but I must confess that I always thought your hair looked thoroughly scrummy as it was...
So when are you coming down to London to show it off to all of us Cosmopolitan types?
Have you bullied The Flashman Papers out of

Date: 2003-07-19 11:32 am (UTC)Something to do with not cutting it, I think.

Er, I'm not sure I was planning a grand tour. I think it's only provincial hair.
I can find TPTMNBN these days, though, so make me an offer. Preferably in the future, as life's gone all busy on me.

Date: 2003-07-19 11:34 am (UTC)I shouldn't have thought so - it's only semi-permanent dye. I found before that I fade variably, though, so I'll have to see. Or I might do it again - there's still the purple to try after all :)

Apologies for accusing you of being Oxfordly - I think I now have you pegged though, so will attempt not to get confused again :)

Date: 2003-07-19 04:07 pm (UTC)Old Rosie (7.5% real cider) is 2.50 and I think they had real ales from 2 pounds. Well worth checking out before a gig if your in London.

283 Hermitage Road
London N4 1NP
Cassels cider at the moment, but will be changed regularly (6.5%, £2.20/pint). 8 handpumps for real ales; a selection from Milton Brewery and other micros within reasonable driving distance (B&T, Tring, Northampton, Nottingham, Mighty Oak, Atlas [I was lying about reasonable driving distance], Lidstones, Fenland, Nethergate, Brewsters, etc.) at decent prices (3.3% mild is £1.80/pint, 3.5% bitter is £2/pint, 4.2% best bitter is £2.20/pint, 4.4% stout is £2.30/pint, 5.3% strong bitter is £2.40/pint).
Happy Hour (ahem) 5-7pm Mon-Fri; all real ales £1.70/pint. (Keg stuff is £2/pint, but that's not really interesting.) Seven Sisters is the most convenient tube/railway station (Victoria Line, or Cambridge<->Liverpool Street line).
Sorry about the ad...

Date: 2003-07-20 04:30 am (UTC)I'm more of a cider person, but my mate who lives a lot nearer there would definitly be interested.
I'll post this on my livejournal.
