On Sunday, I was trundling down the very long South Kensington subway to meet [livejournal.com profile] wimble at the V&A when I noticed that one of the posters for the museum's exhibition about the Queen's jubilee had been not-so-subtly altered.

I've just been reminded about this by a tweet from [livejournal.com profile] addedentry.

Jubilee exhibition poster modified to resemble Moriarty in recent Dr Who series

This whole #believeinsherlock thing seems to have passed me by thus far. Is it really "so widespread"? Have you spotted any Post-Its and hashtags in the wild?

I saw a "Watson's Warriors #believeinsherlock" A4 printed poster in a telephone box in central Oxford. It was only there for a couple of days though.

I don't know how much of this you're already aware of, but this seems to document the root of it:

(search for "Imagine being a Sherlock fan")

Further to which, earlfoolish appears to be one Sofie Hallor, a graphic designer. So no, I don't think it's the production team.

I was aware of it but haven't seen any examples IRL.

I like it. But I reckon it's been done by a PR agency.
