They gathered round and wished to him a happy new year

Oh, go on, we haven't had a sheep on here for ages. And this one doesn't even require any effort from me!

In 2012, venta resolves to...
Stop cooking with hendybear.
Buy new bendy swords.
Keep my goth clean.
Take evening classes in sedition.
Ask my boss for a winter.
Drink four glasses of northeast every day.

Stop cooking with hendybear.

I'm unsure how to interpret this one. Is it "cooking with" in the sense of "cooking with mother", or of "cooking with salt"? Either way, since he's sent himself to the other side of the world, I can't help thinking that this is a good (ie easy-to-keep) resolution.

Buy new bendy swords.

Wow, the magic of auto-generation! This one is completely correct. Last night, my dance team resolved that we need to buy some new bendy swords. We broke one of our set of seven last year, and one of the remaining six needs some work to make the swivelly end go round properly. They're all showing chips, dents, scratches and so on. But the biggest worry is the break - swords tend to age at about the same rate. So when one breaks... yeah. The others are thinking about it.

Keep my goth clean.

I don't even wish to think about this one.

Take evening classes in sedition.

Hell, yeah. Where do I sign up?

Ask my boss for a winter.

Er... I could do that. But to be perfectly honest, I'm expecting one or two anyway in the next 12 months, and more would be greedy. Though now you come to mention it, the current one is a bit shit so far. Maybe I could ask my boss for a winter-rise. If you think people who manage software engineers have much sway over the weather, I'll give it a go.

Drink four glasses of northeast every day.

But it's so hard to find on draft round these parts! I mean, I've got some packets of instant Northumberland in the cupboard, and I do have a big mugful most days. Fizzy keg Yorkshire can be had (at a price) in London, but it's not really worth the bother; it tastes kind of artificial and a bit southern.

I demand to know how you intend to keep your Goth clean! Enquiringly minds (perverts) demand to know!

I've no idea! I didn't even know it was grubby :(

In fact, I'm not sure where it is (you know how goths get in under your floorboards...)

My resolutions were regrettably awful. However, it has prompted the belief that I should update my interests on my profile, so not a total waste.
