My mobile has developed the annoying habit of turning itself off when I'm not looking. If you think I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just unaware that my phone is off.

If I actually am ignoring you, I'll tell you.

When I was a student I had a variety of amusing[*] messages on my answerphone, of which that was pretty much one :)

[*] For some values of amusing. Your mileage may vary. I suspect that they got quite tiresome once you'd heard them a few times.
