Londoners: recommendations wanted!

Where, in the vicinity of Waterloo can one get a decent quick meal. The emphasis here is on quick - I'm hoping for a South Bank equivalent of something like Taro, where one can be in, fed, and out in about half an hour with breaking the bank or contracting E.coli.

On Lower Marsh, there are multiple cafes and small restaurants, while being much less fashionable than the Cut. Keeping with the Japanese theme, I am a big fan of "Inshoku". It also has an associated cafe (linked premises), offering among its selections Japanese and Thai lunch stuff, but I have not eaten there.

There is, and there is also an organic Japeanese, opposite where the statue of Nelson M used to be. However, that's at least, oh, 5 minutes from Waterloo :-). There is also an "Eat" with many tables by Wagamama.

Has the statue of Nelson Mandela moved?
I thought it was near a branch of Ping Pong, on a raised walkway down the side of the MonsterConreteComplex... also near Feng Sushi, I think, which may or may not be the Japanese you referred to...

Specifically, I'm heading to the IMAX cinema for 9 and want to eat before then (and will only be steaming into London after 8). I have legs and can move about reasonably well, though :)

I thought it had gone inside after too much vandalism, but that is only yards. It actually used to be out on that walkway, visible from the Charing crosss trains.

I think FS is the one, but they were not particularly cheap when I went.

Then Wagamama is probably a good option, and there are a couple of SouthBank centre associated cafes. Inshoku would also work if you are getting off at Waterloo Mainline; if you can stop directly at Charing Cross, then there are a couple of places, including a Wasabi between CX and Hungerford Bridge.

"Bangalore Express" is probably too busy at that time for a truly quick meal, but might be OK.

There's a chinese on the road with the Old Vic on (The Cut?)- about two minutes walk along on the left; it's pretty standard but both quick and cheap
