Look over there! Where ?

People who remember my attempts (in pre-LJ days! Gasp!) to document the graffiti of East Oxford may be interested to know that [livejournal.com profile] grahamb is off on something related.

He wants pictures of stencilled graffiti in the wild...

I still want new and interesting graffiti in Oxford, too.

Someone did a load of subgenius stencils around the place a while back, I think I noticed one on a cycle home from work the other day, if I can remember my camera I may attempt a photo.

Hmmm. Are you looking for stenciled stuff only, or anything?
Someone's gone a bit wild with a bit of chalk and some vaguely political/anarchist slogans on the Iffley Road in the last couple of days, but if you want stenciled the only ones I've seen recently are on Catherine Street- there's a 'Drop food not bombs' on one wall with a piccy of a plane dropping carrots, and on the way home from the pub a few nights ago I saw a little purple Hello Kitty with a spanner- it's tucked away in a driveway though so you have to be nearly on top of it to see it...

I'm not stuck on stencils, I'll take pictures of anything :) I did notice some chalk stuff about a week ago; is there more now ?

I've seen the 'Food not bombs' stencil, in fact I thought I had pictures of it, though I don't seem to. Find the Hello Kitty one again and tell me where it is - I want that one:) (Though if you were walking home from the Donny that gives me a fairly short bit of street to explore :)

On the way into Paddington station was quite a bit of your usual "Blair + Bush = Disaster" etc and a lovely line which said "UP WITH THE MIRROR (BUT ONLY CERTAIN ARTICLES)
Which I thought was quite silly.
