Date: 2009-06-05 04:46 pm (UTC)I thought HIGNFY was thursdays. And since Purnell resigned just after 10pm on thursday, I'd be surprised if they were recording that late. I was lucky enough to go to some recordings of Whose Line Is It Anyway many years ago, and those were multi-hour affairs starting around 8ish, a bit like a West End show.

Date: 2009-06-06 11:14 am (UTC)Apart from finally daring to point out that Gorgon is a bell-end of epic proportions, all the resignation statements so far were full both of (apparent) pride in the 'achievements' of ZaNuLab and a boundlessly arrogant sense of entitlement. Hardly 'telling it like it is'. The only way any of them could make adequate amends for their crimes would be to take out the whole cabinet personally (with a stake frmly hammered through the heart of the Ponce of Darkness) and then set themselves on fire on live TV whilst begging for the nation's forgiveness.
At least the horrible bastards have given us some priceless entertainment this week. I'm loving this, have been high as a kite for days - and will be visiting my Granny tomorrow for her birthday, where we will toast the ongoing collapse of this despicable regime (and hopefully, the final obliteration of the Labour Party) together.

Purnell and Flint are both minor Blairites (most of the big beasts having been slain already). Scrapping with Brown doesn't harm their political careers long term - they'll live or die by what happens after Labour loses the election more than by whether they stick around as ministers for the next 11 months.
