These weird hieroglyphics will soon provide the key

Occasionally, I use the 'Notes' feature in my phone. Today I opened it to jot down the booking reference for my flight tomorrow, and found the following:

Mum pride and p,
astronomy.
Dad paddinton.
Green eggs

What?

I've reproduced it exactly as it appears in the phone note - I assume I meant Paddington, though whether the bear or the station is a mystery. Pride and Prejudice is one of the mother's favourite books - as, in fact, is Green Eggs and Ham though the very mention of it causes my Dad to try and hide under the furniture.

What on earth was I listing ?

Birthday/Christmas presents?

Doesn't seem very plausible - their household already has (and has had for years) the Austen, Seuss and Bond requirements. And I don't know that either of them has a particularly pressing interest in astronomy.

Your mum is going to have a lovely day, reading Pride and Prejudice, then can send your Dad to something near Paddington to do with astronomy for the day and read Green Eggs and Ham while he is away :)

Your note says just "Astronomy",
And, cryptically, "Pride and P",
Why take notes no haphazardly?
Green eggs and ham could be for tea?
But "paddington" without a 'G',
Is baffling to you and me.

Did I really write this note ?
Did I write it with a goat ?
Did I write it with a stoat ?
Maybe I should get my coat...

It has that effect on me, too. You'll note I can't even hold the title in my head long enough to write it down. My sister loved Dr Seuss, but it scared the living crap out of me.

Pride & P - you bought me the video of the TV serial a couple of Christmasses ago, and a star-finding thing for Dad. Any help? Not for Paddington, though.

Nice idea - but that was way before I got this phone!
(Also I think you bought the star-finding thing for Dad, not me!)

Notes for the answers to your online banking security questions? :-)

D'oh!

Ooh. You know, those do match some of T-mobile's possible security questions...
