Actually, I don't think they could. Certainly their dance was done at a slow, gliding shuffle suggestive of old-skool Daleks :)

Hurrah! I did attempt video on my phone, but it's very poor quality and only a short clip.

If you look closely in that youtube video, the clump of people standing immediately to the left of the actual Bandstand is my dance team; rather worryingly I can't tell which one is me though :)
