Dear road users everywhere,
Please stop running into each other. Especially on Ms 3, 4, 5 and 40. It's making life hard for the rest of us.

To say nothing of taking up police time, costing the NHS and putting up car insurance for the rest of us, not to mention causing others to have accidents because they are rubbernecking at yours.

What crazy-ass journey uses the Ms 3, 4, 5 and 40?

I was in central London. I wished to be in Crowthorne. My default route would be M40->M25->M4. Except the M40 and M4 were both sucky. So I went along the M3 instead, which sucked. Once in Crowthorne I joined a couple of others heading to Wales (which you may well know about, owing to a farcical conversation I had with [livejournal.com profile] secretrebel). We wanted to use the M4, only it was sucky. One of the (many) causes of its suckitude was alledged to be excess traffic using the M4 because the M5 was sucky.

Depends where in Central London. More obvious would be A4 (Gloucester Road I think) past Harrods/Knightsbridge, out past Hammersmith, then M4. A3?/M3 also makes sense. M40 is going the wrong way, unless it's the quickest way out from your starting point.

OK, Notverycentral London :) The A40 is nearly the quickest way out from where I was. The really quickest would be M1, but that results in way too much M25ing.

HEH. That bad huh?

Could have been worse, really. The M4 was so sucky we sat in a nice sunny garden in Crowthorne rather than bothering to drive along it. Spectacular lightning storms when we did set off, though.
