Metame: my parents have a tasteless eclectic range of tree ornaments and I have now taken it upon me to provide a decoration a year. This year's is a black star with paisley shaped cut-outs.
Many of them are fragile and ugly enough to be really quite old but I shall have to ask if there is any proper provenance data.
