Why would anybody set up a sound system with the volume so high you need earplugs anyway?
Depends on how often you go to gigs, but since venta goes to lots and lots of gigs you she'll get repeated loud noise exposure, and its generally a cumulative effect.
I find earplugs handy, since then you can set yourself beside the speaker stacks (Or even sit on the subwoofer if you feel like it), where its a bit less crowded.
