Naughty boys in nasty schools

Last night I finished reading Black Swan Green by David Mitchell. Or, as I consistently think of him, "no, not that David Mitchell". Black Swan Green was actually a birthday present from spindlemere last year, but a housemove got in the way and caused it to hide for a while.
