Dance, dance, dance to this radio tonight
Jul. 21st, 2006 03:18 pmIt's Friday! It's about three o'clock! It's time to Boogie At Your Desk!
( You what? )
Today you were invited to Boogie At Your Desk to:
The Indelicates - We Just Wanna B 16
On Wednesday, I pottered down to the Brixton Windmill for the launch of The Indelicates' first single. There may be a proper review of that if I have time, but for now suffice it to say that it contained some nice people, some support acts, a fantastic set from the Indelicates and some correctly placed apostrophes - all for £3 on the door.
We Just Wanna B 16 is a great song for a lazy summer afternoon. Light and frothy pop, with handclaps and cynicism. What more could you want ?
You can download a whole handful of mp3s from the Indelicates site. Which does include a demo version of the single, We Hate The Kids. However, I strongly advocate purchase of the actual single, for which the track was completely re-recorded. It's really rather marvellous, and even if you don't have a record player you could prop it up on the mantelpiece and bask in the retro indie cool. Or something.
Yes, I am going to keep plugging this band, dammit. Until you like them.
