In a mescaline time machine.
Dec. 6th, 2003 09:41 pmAs threatened a while back, tomorrow is International Mabel Day in Oxford.
More comprehensibly, the local rapper team I belong to - Mabel Gubbins - is holding its annual day of dancing and silliness. Featuring rapper teams from as far afield as... oooh... Lichfield, it promises to be as devastating as ever.
We don't promise blood (cf. Mabel Day 2002), or the destruction of small areas of the KA (cf. Mabel Day 2001). However, we do promise to be in the Old School House with around half a dozen other rapper teams at about noon, and we do promise to be in the KA at about fourish (hopefully still with them). What happens between is a bit of a moveable feast, involving (but not necessarily limited to) the Hobgoblin on St Aldates (formerly the Bulldog), the Turl, the Lamb and Flag, and the Far From the Madding Crowd. Anywhere else daft enough to let us in is fair game. Anyone turning up to the KA: beware of copious in-jokes.
Anyone who's trying to find/avoid us is welcome to text me to ascertain our whereabouts.
