This is the time of year when I traditionally took extra antihistamines, but then I stopped when I realised that the pseudoephedrine in them was making me hyper, jittery and jumpy. Then a couple of months ago I saw a documentary about Meth labs and found out what the basic ingredient was... I'm officially not classy enough for speed! Hurrah!
Nosebleeds... Preventative I don't know (but maybe a doctor could prescribe you a spray for your poor nose). The in the meantime recommendation is to keep a wet flannel in a plastic bag in the fridge and hold that over your irritated nose to cool it down a bit.
Avoid dairy products they create mucous and will make you snuffle and sneeze more. (Continuous nose blowing and sneezing will make your nose bleed ... Though you don't need me to tell you that, I suspect (doh!))
Natural yoghurt and honey will help your immune system deal with the allergies.

From what I've read ...
