Biting the bullet (bad choice, should have bitten the bunny), you bow to the inevitable fate of every adventurer, ever, and swing your puny club at the giant menace.
It blinks in lapine surprise, and roars again, in case you didn't realise how big and scary it was in the first place. You advance again and the rabbit, unprepared for such foolhardy bravado, turns tail and flees back into its hellish pit.
You can now see clearly that the mystical portal has a slightly green and melty look. The pit looks, well, hellish, and has overtones of sulphur - however, among those fiery glints might just be the gleam of gold...
